Testing our toys
posted on February 05 2013
Bringing my daughter to work isn't so bad, it's a toy shop after all. She's rarely bored and kind of acts like a tester for me as I get insight from watching her play. On Saturday she spent a couple of hours with me. Our book selection is new and growing. We're so excited to be working with TATE Publishing, they represent some of the world's best illustrators and the stories are so imaginative and fun. So I was delighted when she picked up a copy of The Great House Hunt and read it to her Bunny. Zulema sat pouring over the pages for a nice long while. She can't read yet but the pictures certainly captured her imagination.
Meanwhile it gave me a chance to fulfill a few orders, listening to her hum an invented story in the background is also very relaxing. "Now bunny, sit down, stay still, listen.. ooh... the ladybird jumped on the tree. It's a good story, look how lovely".
