The Itch of the Golden Nit: Tate Movie Project by Dave Ingham

An animated film collaboration between Tate, Ardman Animations (the makers of Wallace and Gromit), the BBC and thousands of children across Britain, voiced by a cast including Miranda Hart, Rik Mayall, Vic Reeves, Catherine Tate, Alexei Sayle and David Walliams. The film incorporates the drawings of thousands of children that were uploaded to the Tate Movie Project website. 


Eleven-year-old Beanie's bland life is changed for ever when he is sent on a mission. Armed only with laser lip-gloss and a pair of blend-in pants he has to save his parents from Evil Stella and return the Golden Nit to its rightful place at the heart of the sun, thereby saving the universe.

About the Designer

Dave Ingham is an award winning children's scriptwriter whose work has included the much loved Shaun the Sheep, Tracy Beaker Returns, Timmy Time and Charlie and Lola for which he was nominated for two children's Baftas. He won the Writers Guild Award in 2010 and the British Animation Best Writers Award in 2006.
