The wisdom and fabulousness of an incredible group of octogenarians

It's been a long time since I met women this wise and inspiring.
They are in their eighties, they are active, in love with life and fashion. Indomitable spirits of the highest kind. Most importantly they don't give a toss what other people think.
Two of my favourites were Baroness Trumpington (#trumpers) who at the age of 91 is the eldest member of the House of Lords and is going to make this catalogue a lot of money by dropping their name (Chums) in the show.
And then there is the former ballet dancer, choreographer and director of West End shows Gillian Lynne. She's married to someone 27 years her junior. That probably helps keep her young but still she can do splits!
The whole thing makes me want to get up and go, feel the horses galloping inside me, as one so elegantly put it.
I want to tell everyone to watch it, to be inspired by these amazing elders and I mean that in the most respectful of way. Old school. This is must see television for anyone with any trepidation of growing old.
Rebecca Nicholson's review in The Guardian describes some of the best moments or better yet watch it on playback here.
